Nah, you can't gift a game you already own on Steam. If you wanna play Santa, you gotta buy the game as a gift at the time of purchase. Steam's got this option where you can choose to buy the game for yourself or as a gift for someone else.

Short answer: No. Once a game's in your library, it's yours forever. No take-backs or re-gifting.

Tried it once thinking I could be sneaky, but nope, Steam has its rules. You can only gift new purchases. Ended up buying a second copy as a gift. Lesson learned!
