Sort of! At the end of the True Pacifist Route, you free Asriel by breaking the Barrier and helping him realize who he truly is. It's a tear-jerker!
You can't physically save Asriel from his fate, but you can emotionally reach him and help him rediscover his humanity (or... monster-ity?). I played through the True Pacifist ending, and seeing him finally cry and admit his feelings hit me right in the feels!
