Ah, the age-old question for console gamers! In short, nope, you can't directly transfer your Grand Theft Auto V progress from Xbox to PlayStation 5. The platforms are like two different playgrounds; what happens in one stays in one. You gotta start from scratch if you switch sides.

Hot take: Why even bother switching from Xbox to PS5 for GTA 5? Just pick a side and stick with it, folks!

Actually, I tried this when I got my PS5 and was kinda bummed out. You can't link or transfer GTA 5 progress between Xbox and PlayStation. Had to say goodbye to all my cool cars and start over. It's a fresh start, but yeah, you can't link 'em.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
