Almost! The Steam Deck runs on a Linux-based OS, using Proton to make Windows games compatible. While the vast majority of games work great, some with heavy DRM or anti-cheat measures might give you a bit of trouble. It's always a good idea to check the Steam Deck compatibility for your favorites before diving in.

I've been using my Steam Deck for a bit, and it's been a smooth ride for most of my library. Played through the latest Doom without a hitch. Just some older titles with weird DRM don't play nice.

Hot take: Nah, not all of them. But honestly, the big hitters and most indie games run just fine. It's the super niche ones you gotta watch out for.

Steam Deck can't run games that require specific Windows features or have heavy DRM restrictions. But, Valve is constantly working to increase compatibility, so keep an eye out for updates!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
