Yes, you can use a PS4 controller on a PS5, but only for PS4 games. It won't work for PS5 games.

Nope, PS4 controllers can't be used to play PS5 games on the PS5. Stick with the DualSense for those games.

Sure, but the PS4 controller works only with PS4 games on the PS5. For PS5 games, you'll need the DualSense controller.

I dug out my old PS4 controller thinking I'd save a few bucks, but PS5 games require the new DualSense! It works fine for PS4 titles on the PS5 though.
