Sadly, nope. You can't upgrade the Dog Armor in Fallout 4. The gear is purely cosmetic, meaning it looks cool but doesn't actually buff your loyal companion's stats. But hey, Dogmeat still looks awesome in it!

Actually, no, Dog Armor doesn't get upgrades. It's a bit of a bummer since you'd think all gear could get a boost. But on the bright side, Dogmeat doesn't need armor to be a total badass.
