Can you use a mouse and keyboard with Steam Deck?
SignalingCloud·7 months agoAbsolutely! The Steam Deck is pretty flexible, operating essentially as a portable PC. You can plug in a mouse and keyboard using the USB-C port or through a USB-C hub if you need more connections. It’s great for those moments when you want the full desktop gaming experience on the go.

Short answer, yes! The Steam Deck supports mouse and keyboard input. Perfect for strategy games or any title that feels more natural with the old-school PC setup.
Yeah, you can, but why would you want to? The whole point of the Steam Deck is portability and using it like a handheld console. Just my two cents.
Can confirm firsthand! Hooked up my mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse to my Steam Deck for a session of Age of Empires IV. Worked like a charm with no issues. It essentially turns it into a compact gaming PC. Awesome for when I'm traveling.
