Unfortunately, you can't directly link PayPal to Apple Pay. But you can add your PayPal account to Apple Wallet and use it for online purchases where merchants accept PayPal.

Nope, Apple Pay and PayPal don't play nice together. You're better off using a PayPal Cash Card with Apple Pay.
I tried it myself, and you can't add PayPal to Apple Pay directly. You can still use PayPal on your iPhone for online shopping though!
