Wishing for a 5th card in MTG? Sounds like a dream! Magic The Gathering doesn't literally let you 'wish' cards into your hand during a game. However, there are 'wish' cards that let you fetch cards from outside the game (like from your sideboard) under specific conditions. So, in a metaphorical sense, you can wish for a 5th, 6th, or even a 10th card as long as you're playing by the rules!

Actually, 'wishing' for cards is totally a thing with 'wish' cards. I've built entire decks around this strategy, and it's a blast watching opponents' faces when you pull it off correctly.

Nope, you can't just wish for an extra card out of thin air. But using 'wish' cards within the game's rules, you kinda can, in a way. Just not in the 'abracadabra' sense!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
