Check your settings! Sometimes sprinting gets toggled off. Go to settings -> controller options and make sure sprint by default is on.

Make sure you're not carrying too much while trying to sprint. Heavy items can mess up your sprinting.

Yeah, it happened to me. Rebooting the game fixed it. Classic IT solution, lol.

Not sure why you can't sprint, but maybe try updating your game. Sometimes bugs get fixed in new patches.
