Did Etsy Proxy Sellers Get Taken Down for MTG?

Oh yeah, the crackdown was real! Etsy isn't playing around with IP rights, and several MTG proxy sellers found themselves out of the game faster than you can say 'Counter Spell'. It looks like Wizards of the Coast, the overlords of MTG, aren't too keen on others cashing in on their magical kingdom without permission. So, if you're hunting for those proxies, maybe aim for more legit channels or risk facing the wrath of the banhammer yourself.

Actually, it's kind of a mixed bag? Like, yeah, some sellers got hit hard and their listings disappeared into the ether. But you know how it is - cut one head off and two more appear. I've still seen a bunch of proxies floating around. Seems like it's more of a whack-a-mole situation than a total wipeout.

Why even bother with proxies? Just go legit or go home. Support the game, guys.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
