Nah, they haven’t given up. You can change your PSN ID through the settings on your PS4 or PS5.

Nope, PSN didn't give up on name changes! You can actually change your PSN ID now. Just head to your account settings and you'll find the option there.

No way, they allow it. I changed mine last week with no problems. Just be aware some older games might have issues.
