Actually, it's complicated. MTG lore is vast and varies by the plane of existence. Some gods might seem 'dead' but are actually dormant, banished, or have lost their power. The concept of death for deities in MTG isn't always permanent.

Nope, they just took a long nap. Gods in MTG are hard to get rid of for good.

Nah, they didn't kick the bucket, at least not all of them. In MTG, gods can be pretty resilient and often exist in a state that's beyond mere mortal concepts of life and death. The storylines involving gods can get twisty, but outright saying they died would oversimplify their lore. They might be out of commission or not in focus in the current story arcs, but they're gods - they tend to stick around in one form or another.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
