Nah, you don't HAVE to watch the 1999 version, but if you're a purist or just love extra context, go for it! The 2011 reboot is more comprehensive and closer to the manga.

I started with the 2011 version and loved it. The animation is slicker, and it covers more ground. 1999 is like a cool bonus if you want more Hunter x Hunter!

The 2011 version will give you all the Hunter x Hunter goodness you need. The 1999 version is nice for nostalgia, but not essential.

Hot take: skip the 1999 version and just dive into the 2011 reboot. Better pacing, better animation, better everything!

loved the 1999 version for its unique vibe and style. It's like extra flavor on an already awesome dish. But yeah, 2011's got all you need.

If you're a Hunter X Hunter fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
