Nope! Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a separate adaptation of the manga and sticks closer to the source material. You can dive right into Brotherhood without having seen the original series.

Totally unnecessary. Brotherhood basically reboots the story and does its own thing from the get-go. Enjoy the ride!

As someone who watched both, starting with Brotherhood is perfectly fine. It covers the same general story, just in a more manga-accurate way.

Actually, I'd say start with the original series if you can. It gives a unique take and some different perspectives that are worth seeing.

If you're a Fullmetal Alchemist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
