Generally, no, they don't. If you take proper care of your cards, they should remain in pretty good shape. I've had holo cards for years, and not a single one has started peeling. It's all about treating them with a little respect!

Yes, they peel and it's heartbreaking. Saw it happen to my first-ever holo :( Keep them safe!

Peel? Mine turned into dust. Just kidding! But seriously, keep them safe or they'll show their age.

Oh, the woes of the shiny treasures! Yes, old Pokemon holo cards can indeed start to peel over time. It's a sad reality for collectors. These cards were built for battle but not necessarily for the test of time. UV light, humidity, and not-so-gentle handling can lead to that devastating peel. Pro tip: Keep your gems in a cool, dark place and maybe in a sleeve for that extra layer of armor.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
