Lol, imagine a shapeshifter forgetting what color it was. Yeah, they keep their color unless the card explicitly tells you something different is happening. Magic's pretty good about spelling out the rules on each card.

They do keep their color! But remember, there's always a card or two that loves to break the rules and change things up. Always read your cards carefully.

Actually, shapeshifters can change color if the card they're copying is a different color. That's the whole point of shapeshifting, right? You're not just copying the form but the essence of the card. So, it really depends on the specific shapeshifter card you're talking about.

Absolutely, shapeshifters in MTG keep their color, unless otherwise specified by the card's text. For instance, most shapeshifters are blue because they're all about trickery and changing forms, which fits blue's theme. However, if a shapeshifter card says it becomes another color or all colors (like some do), then that's the exception!

Color identity in MTG is a big deal, and shapeshifters mimic everything, including color鈥攊f that's what they're supposed to do according to their text. But some keep their original color. So, it's less about general rules and more about what each card says.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
