SMGs in Fallout 76 = automatic rifles, not pistols. Found out the hard way after building my character around pistol perks. Save yourself the heartache and plan accordingly!

Actually, SMGs are rifles. So pistol perks won't help with them.

Nope, SMGs don't count as pistols in Fallout 76. I know, it's a bit confusing given their size and how you might use them in other games, but in Fallout 76, they're classified under the automatic rifles category. So if you're trying to buff your build around pistols, SMGs won't benefit from those perks.

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
