Do Tokens Trigger on Death Effects in MTG?
RollingHank路7 months agoYep, tokens totally trigger 'on death' effects in MTG, just like any other creature would. When a token dies, it hits the graveyard and then poof! It vanishes. So if you've got something that triggers when a creature dies, your token will set it off before it disappears into the game's version of the ether.

Actually, tokens do trigger 'on death' effects in Magic The Gathering. This means if you're playing a deck that benefits from creatures dying, tokens can be a valuable asset. However, remember that tokens cease to exist once they hit the graveyard, so they can't be brought back from the graveyard by usual means.
No way, tokens are just temporary creatures. They can't trigger 'on death' effects because they don't go to the graveyard like real cards. They vanish!
For sure, tokens do trigger 'on death' effects. I had a game where my army of token creatures triggered multiple death effects in a single turn, totally turning the game in my favor. It's a solid strategy if you're into that kind of gameplay.
