Yep, you gotta declare your target when you're casting spells that require it. If your spell's got 'target' in its text, you point out what or who you're aiming at when you play it. This way, everybody knows what's going on and there's no mid-game 'oops, I meant to target that other thing' shenanigans.

Nah, not always. Only if the spell or ability specifically says 'target'. Some stuff affects everything or everyone without needing to single anything out. So, it's all about those keywords.

Short answer: Yes. If a spell or ability specifies a target, you need to choose the target when you cast or activate it. No target, no cast. It's like telling your dog to fetch without pointing at the stick.

Absolutely! Declaring your target is like Magic 101. It's essential for clear and fair play. Plus, it helps avoid arguments about what you were actually targeting. Been there, done that, and let me tell you, it's no fun when spells go awry because someone 'forgot' to declare a target.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
