Absolutely not. GTA 5's online mode is a whole universe in itself. You can totally skip the story mode and dive straight into the online madness with other players. Think of it as an endless playground of chaos and fun.
TBH, skipping the story mode in GTA 5 is like refusing to use a cheat code for unlimited money. Why would you do that to yourself? The narrative is gold, and it opens up so much of the game. Don’t skip it!
Story mode? Optional! But missing out on it is like getting a burger and tossing the patty. Sure, you can enjoy the fries (side missions, online play), but the real flavor is in that main plot. Just my two cents.
