Nah, you don't need to worry about bringing your own lands to a MTG prerelease event. The event organizers usually have plenty of basic land cards on hand for players to use while building their decks. It's all about showing up, building a deck with the cards from your prerelease pack, and having fun!

Actually yes, but only if you're super particular about the lands you use. Most players just use the lands provided by the event, but if you have special land cards you prefer or just want your deck to look a certain way, then by all means, bring them along.
Been to dozens of prereleases and never once brought my own lands. The organizers have you covered. Just focus on drafting a killer deck with what you pull from your packs!
Why bother? The whole point of a prerelease is to show up and play with what you're given. Bringing your own lands is like bringing a pillow to a hotel.
