Not always! In Magic The Gathering, whether 1 damage to a player also causes them to discard a card depends entirely on the specific card's abilities or effects in play. Some cards might have this effect, but it's not a general rule for all damage dealt.

Lol, nope. Unless you got a specific spell or creature that says so, dealing damage won't make anyone discard cards. Gotta read those cards carefully!

Yes, but only with certain cards. For example, cards like 'Blazing Specter' have abilities that deal damage and force the opponent to discard. So, it's all about the conditions set by the card.

Actually, that's not how damage works by default. You need a card that specifically states that damage causes discards. Otherwise, it's just wishful thinking.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
