Does burn count as a combo deck in Magic The Gathering?

Nah, burn decks aren't typically considered combo decks. Combo decks usually aim for a specific set of cards that work together to pull off a game-winning move in a single turn. Burn is more about slinging spells directly at your opponent's face or creatures consistently over the game. It's more about the steady, reliable damage rather than a big boom moment.

In my experience, calling a burn deck a combo deck is like saying a hammer is a screwdriver. Sure, they both help you build things (or demolish your opponent in MTG), but they do it in totally different ways. Burn decks are about aggression and speed, not setting up a complex sequence of card interactions.

Burn is a strategy, not a combo. It's like the difference between a sniper and a machine gun. Both are effective, but one is all about those precise, calculated shots (combo) and the other is just unload all the firepower directly at the target (burn).

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
