Not really, but it's all about how you use it. Straight-up cardboard won't harm your MTG cards if it's clean and you're using it as a makeshift divider or a box to store them. Just make sure everything's dry and clean. If you're using cardboard for storage, maybe line it with something softer or slip your cards into protective sleeves. Cards need to breathe, not get cozy with potential moisture or dirt that cardboard might carry.

Cardboard itself isn't the enemy, but beware of rough edges and dirt, my friends. I once stored my deck in a cardboard box I found lying around, and while the cards didn't get damaged from the cardboard, they did pick up some grime. Lesson learned: it's not just about the material, it's about keeping it clean. And maybe invest in some card sleeves for extra protection.

Nope, cardboard is fine. Just slap those cards in a box. What could go wrong?

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
