Short answer: Yes, damage still hits. Counters boost a creature's stats but don't stop damage.

Gotta chime in here - played a match last week where my giant creature had tons of +1/+1 counters but still went down to a simple direct damage spell. Counters make 'em strong, but not invincible!

Absolutely, damage can still go through! In Magic The Gathering, having counters on a creature (like +1/+1 counters) doesn't prevent it from taking damage. Those counters just make it bigger or give it additional abilities. So if your buffed-up creature gets hit, it still feels the pain unless it's got indestructible or a similar protective ability.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
