Actually, deathtouch only works if the damage is actually dealt. If the damage is prevented, then no damage was dealt, so deathtouch won't apply. It's all about whether the damage makes it through the prevention shield.

Yep, deathtouch totally goes through damage prevention in MTG. Deathtouch means that any amount of damage is enough to destroy a creature. So, if your creature with deathtouch deals damage to another creature, but that damage gets prevented, it doesn't matter - the creature still gets destroyed because of deathtouch. It's like saying even a pinprick from deathtouch is lethal!

Can confirm from many games, deathtouch is awesome and it does work through prevent damage effects. Had a game where my tiny deathtouch creature knocked out a big tough one because of this rule. The opponent wasn't too happy about that, lol.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
