Been there, done that! I can confirm Forma is purely for polarization and doesn't give you any bonus EP.

Using a Forma will reset the item to Rank 0, but it won't provide any extra Ep or experience points.

Nope, Forma doesn't give you extra EP; it just resets your Warframe or weapon so you can add more polarities for better customization.

FYI, Forma is all about those polarities, not EP. It lets you optimize your mods but won't boost your EP.
