Oh, you're diving into the lore deep end, huh? Technically, yes, Gerrard Capashen does get revived in the Magic The Gathering story. After his death, he was brought back to life by Karn, his golem buddy, using the power of the Legacy Weapon. However, this resurrection isn't something you'll see happening in the middle of a game. It's all storyline magic, not an in-game mechanic!

Nope. Gerrard doesn't revive himself during a game. What happens in the story stays in the story, folks.

As a massive MTG lore nerd, I can confirm Gerrard does make a miraculous return from the dead, thanks to Karn and the Legacy. It's a dramatic twist in the Weatherlight Saga. But remember, this epic story event doesn't translate to gameplay. Would be cool though!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
