Infect is a spicy mechanic in MTG that doesn't actually reduce life total. Instead of dealing regular damage, if a creature with infect deals damage to a player, that player gets poison counters. Rack up 10 poison counters on your opponent and you win the game. It's a sneaky way to bypass traditional life totals!

As an infect deck enthusiast, I can confirm infect doesn鈥檛 lower life totals. It's all about those poison counters. Once I get my opponent to 10 counters, it doesn't matter if they're at 1 life or 100; they're done. It's a unique and fun strategy!

Nope, infect doesn鈥檛 touch life totals. It deals damage in the form of poison counters. 10 of those and it鈥檚 game over, regardless of what the life counter says!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
