Nope, Lake of the Dead doesn't count as a swamp. I know, I know, it's got all that creepy vibe you'd associate with a swamp, but in the world of MTG, it's just not classified as one. It specifically says it's a land, but not a swamp. So, for purposes of cards that interact with swamps, Lake of the Dead won't trigger those effects.

Hard no! Lake of the Dead is a land, sure, but it ain鈥檛 no swamp. It鈥檚 got its own thing going on, bringing in that sweet, sweet black mana without the swamp tag. So, it won鈥檛 work with your swamp-related bonuses or drawbacks.

Gotta disagree with the crowd. I think it's all about the vibe, and Lake of the Dead screams swamp vibes to me. Sure, technically not a swamp, but if it looks like a duck...

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
