Does My Hero Academia Belong to Funimation?
CarryingMonte路4 months agoTo clarify, Funimation doesn't own My Hero Academia; they hold distribution rights for the English-dubbed version. The actual ownership and production are entirely with the original Japanese creators and publishers.

I remember looking this up a while ago: Funimation distributes My Hero Academia in English-speaking countries, but they don't own it.
Short answer: No, Funimation just distributes it.
Nope! My Hero Academia is created by Kohei Horikoshi and originally serialized in Weekly Sh艒nen Jump. Funimation just licenses it for distribution in certain regions.
