Does Rebound Need the Same Target in MTG?

Actually, no. Rebound gives you the option to cast the spell again during your next upkeep, and it doesn't have to target the same thing. Targets can change based on the situation on the board. It's what makes rebound so versatile!

Nope, rebound doesn't require you to choose the same target when you cast the spell for the second time. When a spell with rebound is cast from your hand and resolves, it's exiled. Then, at the beginning of your next upkeep, you can cast it again without paying its mana cost. This time, you can choose new targets for the spell if it requires any. So, you're free to switch things up!

Yes, it does. Rebound spells are cool but remember to stick to the original target for consistency. (Note: This is a common misconception. Rebound does allow for new targets upon the second casting.)

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
