Most modern Roku remotes use RF (radio frequency) instead of IR (infrared), so they don’t need a direct line of sight and can work from any angle around your room. So yes, for all intents and purposes, they do have 360-degree functionality!

If you have one of the older Roku remotes that use IR, you will need to point it directly at the device. The newer ones rock, though!

Roku remotes? They’re practically magic wands! Work from anywhere.

I’ve been using my Roku from behind my couch, across the room, and even from the kitchen. No issues!
