Does Tears of the Kingdom take place in the past?
EnvassalingTier·8 months agoNope, Tears of the Kingdom doesn't take place in the past. It's actually a sequel to Breath of the Wild, continuing Link's adventure right where the first game left off. You're still exploring Hyrule, but with loads of new areas and challenges. Think of it as the next chapter in the story, not a flashback.

Actually, Tears of the Kingdom is set in the same Hyrule but moves the story forward. It's all about what happens next, with new lands to explore and puzzles to solve. So no, it's not set in the past.
