Yes, for Splatoon on the Nintendo Switch, you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to enjoy the online multiplayer features. It's worth it for the ink-splatting fun!

Who cares about membership when you can ink-splat in single player? But yeah, online's a different story.

Yeah, you鈥檒l need that Nintendo Switch Online gig to play online鈥攖rust me, ink battles are more fun with friends!

I've been playing since the Wii U days, and while the original game didn't require a membership, Splatoon 2 and 3 on the Switch do need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for multiplayer.

Nope! You don't need any membership if you're playing single-player modes, but for online stuff on Switch, cough up for Nintendo Switch Online.

...you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

This includes gift cards from all your favorite brands, like Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Roblox, and many, many more!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
