Nope! Buyback in MTG is totally optional. When you cast a spell with buyback, you can choose to pay the extra cost. If you do, the spell returns to your hand instead of going to the graveyard after it resolves. So, you're not forced to pay it if you don't wanna or can't spare the mana.

Wrong, you HAVE to buyback. It's like a gym membership; once you're in, you're in forever. Just kidding! Buyback is actually optional. You choose if you want to pay the additional cost for that spell to boomerang back to your hand. Magic's all about options and strategies, not forcing you into decisions.

Actually, the optionality of buyback is what makes it such a strategic mechanic in MTG. You assess the situation and decide if you want to pay extra to reuse that spell. It's like a clever little puzzle with each cast.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
