Short answer: by themselves, nope. Gates come into play tapped, slowing your roll for that multi-color mana goodness. But if you're crafty with other cards, you can work around that!

Gates typically enter the battlefield tapped, which is part of their balancing act since they can produce multiple colors of mana. However, there are cards and abilities that can change this default state. For example, the card 'Amulet of Vigor' makes it so that all your artifacts, creatures, and lands, including Gates, enter the battlefield untapped. So yes, but with a little help from other cards!

Gotta disagree with the optimism here. While it's technically true other cards can untap Gates, relying on this is not a great strategy. Gates are slow. That's just part of the deal.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
