The PS5 is pretty awesome with backwards compatibility. It can play most PS4 games, but don’t expect it to run PS3, PS2, or the original PlayStation games natively.

Honestly, the PS5 should be more backwards compatible by now. It's great for PS4 titles, but older generations are still left in the dust.

I've been playing my old PS4 games on the PS5 without any issues. However, PS3, PS2, and PS1 games aren’t natively supported.
