Go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings. Click 'Your Facebook Information' and select 'Deactivation and Deletion'. Choose 'Permanently Delete Account', then follow the prompts!

Once you deactivate, all your photos and posts disappear but you can come back anytime. Miss you already!
Just head over to Settings, find 'Your Facebook Information', and choose 'Deactivation and Deletion'. Easy peasy!
