Deleting is drastic! Why not just deactivate? Go to settings -> account -> 'Temporarily disable my account' and give Instagram a little vacation.
To temporarily disable your account, log in to Instagram.com, go to your profile, click 'Edit Profile', and select 'Temporarily disable my account' at the bottom. This way, you can take a break without losing everything.
Deleting your account is easy, but make sure to download your data first if you want to keep any memories!
