Trees? In my post-nuke game? It's more likely than you think. Fallout 76 shows that not everything was wiped out by the bombs. Some areas, like those in West Virginia, were shielded from the worst of the blasts and fallout, providing a haven for plant life. Also, radiation can sometimes encourage rapid mutations, potentially making some plants more resistant or even thrive in the new world. So yeah, that's why there's trees around, mutation and luck.
In the Fallout universe, not all areas were hit directly by nukes, and West Virginia, where Fallout 76 is set, seems to be one of those places with less direct impact. This would allow for a faster natural recovery and is why there's greenery and trees around.
