In Smash, damage is shown as a percentage. The higher the percentage, the further a character flies when hit. Higher damage = higher chances of getting KO'd!

More hits, higher damage percentage; higher percentage, further knockback. Just keep smacking them until they soar off the screen!

Damage in Super Smash Bros works like this: the more you hit your opponent, the higher their damage percentage goes. As that number climbs, they get knocked back further with each hit, making them easier to fling off the stage!

The damage mechanics in Smash are kind of like a reverse-health bar. Hitting opponents increases their percentage instead of decreasing a health bar, and higher percentages mean more knockback. Basically, keep hitting them until they go 'bye-bye!'
