Actually, as of the last update I checked, Ajani hasn't died in Magic The Gathering. He's a Leonin planeswalker who's been through a lot, like major battles against big baddies and even avenging his brother's death, but nope, he's still kicking and causing trouble for his enemies.
Last I heard, Ajani's still alive. He's too stubborn to die, probably off somewhere plotting against the baddies of the MTG universe.
