How do +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters mix in MTG?
AssoilzieingThrow路7 months agoIn Magic The Gathering, when +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters are placed on the same creature, they cancel each other out. For each pair of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on a creature, you remove both, instantly simplifying the creature's status. So, if your creature has 3 +1/+1 counters and 2 -1/-1 counters, you're left with just one +1/+1 counter on it after the cancellation process.

Actually, mixing +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on a creature is an advanced tactic. It's strategic for getting rid of pesky counters your opponents put on your creatures or for fine-tuning the power and toughness of your creatures during gameplay. Always keep this rule in mind to optimize your plays!
They annihilate each other, plain and simple. Got a creature with both? For every +1/+1 and -1/-1 counter, poof! They disappear. It's like they have a grudge against each other.
Eh, just play the cards and don't worry about it. They cancel out. Not rocket science.
