Honestly, 2SV is a mess. Disable it if you can.

You'll need to enter your sign-in ID and password, then your 2SV code from your authentication app or SMS. Simple as that!

From personal experience, I’d say keep the backup codes somewhere safe. They’ve saved me more than once!
