To cut a tree down in Animal Crossing, you'll need an axe. But not just any axe - you need the regular Axe, not the Flimsy Axe or Stone Axe, because only the regular Axe can actually chop down trees. To get one, you'll have to either craft it using the DIY recipe you can get from the shop or a villager, or buy it if it's available in the shop. Once you've got your axe, just stand in front of the tree you wanna say goodbye to and start swinging!

Honestly, why would you want to cut down trees? They're lovely! Plus, you get fruits, can find bugs, and they make your island look nice. But if you must, get a regular axe and hit the tree three times. Done.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
