Go to your profile, click on 'Photos', then 'Albums'. Find the album you want to delete, click on it, and select 'Options' or the three dots. Choose 'Delete Album' from the drop-down menu. And poof, it's gone!
I accidentally became a photo album hoarder, and when I finally decided to prune, I found that accessing my profile, heading to 'Photos', then 'Albums', and hitting delete on the unnecessary ones worked like a charm. Happy deleting!
