To erase a single message, just hover over it, click the three dots, and choose 'Remove'. Easy peasy!
Go to the chat, click on the message you want to erase, and select 'Remove'! Bye-bye, embarrassing typo!
You can't actually erase messages on Skype completely; they're gone from your view but might still exist on the other person's device.
