How do I factory reset a PS4?
AttainingFord路7 months agoGo to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4. Choose either 'Quick' or 'Full' initialization. Quick is faster but less secure, while Full erases everything. Don't forget to back up your data first!

I had to factory reset my PS4 last year. I backed up my data to an external drive, went to Settings > Initialization, and picked 'Full.' Takes longer but worth it!
First, turn off your PS4 completely. Hold down the power button until you hear two beeps. Then, connect the controller via USB. In Safe Mode, select 'Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software).' Easy-peasy!
